About Erica
With nearly 30 years of experience as a jeweller, Erica has perfected many different techniques, ancient and modern, and studied with many masters of the craft. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Professional Goldsmiths (FIPG), a qualified gemmologist (FGA) and has qualified with distinction in the Gem A’s Diamond Diploma (DGA).
Erica’s collections express beauty, passion and emotion, captured in the finest materials by using the highest standards of craftsmanship. In addition, she creates exclusive bespoke jewellery for individual customers. Unique commissions that tell a specific story, connecting the piece with both giver and wearer and enhancing its special meaning.
While her customers are a rich source of inspiration, the natural environment and heritage are also very important influences in Erica’s designs. Born and raised in rural Somerset, where she currently lives and works, her work is infused with a fascination for nature, natural materials and history.
Erica writes regularly for various publications including features about her creative life for the Western Daily Press’ ‘West Country Life’ magazine. Her work appears in many trade publications and jewellery-making manuals.
Our workshop
Erica works using traditional goldsmiths hand-crafting skills passed down for hundreds of years from master to apprentice. Her fully fitted workshop embraces this method of working. She undertakes commissions from design to completion, and also specialises in the ‘up-cycling’ of old jewellery into new creations. Repair and restorations are also carefully undertaken along with expert cleaning, bead and pearl restringing.
Pioneering the field of ethical jewellery production, Erica was one of the first jewellers in the world licensed to trade in Fairtrade gold.
