Erica Sharpe has painted and drawn from an early age. Her sketches are often the starting point of her jewellery designs.

Following an art school training, Erica has been a professional jeweller and artist for over 30 years. When not working in precious metals, she paints and draws in water colours and graphite.

The wilderness, natural environment, landscape, flora and fauna are intrinsic to her life and work. Forever exploring, trekking and wandering, she creates from a place of immediacy and mindful observation rather than preconceived ideas.

Finalist in the 2014 David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year, Erica’s watercolours and drawings explore the authenticity of a subject, revealing the often unseen story, and key elements of its nature.
